i get hit up a lot about the song that was in that one setisode i did a while back. crazy love, american love, or whatever you want to name it (i never really decided). i was surprised when i heard it in there, and i was surprised it was allowed to happen. it was sort of a pleasant surprise, as i’m always glad when my music can come out spur of the moment since it seems so rare. i think what caught me off guard me was the fact that this unmixed, unmastered, halfway finished song snuck out. what you’re hearing with that is an absolute skeleton. i wrote it last fall in LA on an off-day during the hey monday tour, really quickly, i’m glad you guys seem to like it though, i think it’s got potential to be a jam. it’s got a cool almost 50’s vibe to it, which i love. it’s not gonna be on feel good now, but maybe it’ll be on the next album. who knows! all in all, i’m pretty amazed that warner didn’t take the video down or something when they realized it. maybe they don’t know. shhh.
